Cleaner water at every tap.
Florida's geology makes hard water nearly universal across St. Lucie County. Whether you're dealing with scale on your fixtures, a chlorine smell in the shower, or well-water iron and sulfur, we test your water and recommend the right point-of-entry solution, treating all water entering the home, not just one faucet.
Water-quality issues we solve.
- Hard water: calcium and magnesium scale on fixtures, inside heaters and pipes
- Chlorine & chloramines: municipal disinfectants that taste, smell, and dry skin
- Iron & sulfur: rust staining and rotten-egg odor, common on well water
- Sediment: fine particles that cloud water and wear on appliances
Softeners, carbon, RO & UV.
We install NSF-certified systems and handle all the plumbing: bypass valves, drain connections for backwashing, proper pipe sizing.
- Water softeners
Ion-exchange systems that remove calcium and magnesium, eliminating scale and extending the life of water heaters, dishwashers, and fixtures. The most effective fix for PSL hard water.
- Whole-house carbon
Removes chlorine, chloramines, VOCs, and odor from all water in the home: the fix for municipal-water taste and smell issues. Often paired with a softener.
- Reverse osmosis & UV
Whole-house RO membranes remove dissolved solids, nitrates, and arsenic at every tap; UV purification destroys bacteria and viruses without chemicals, which is common for private wells.
Well-water treatment.
Homes on private wells, most commonly in River Park and unincorporated St. Lucie County, face different challenges than municipal users: bacteria, iron, sulfur, tannins, and contaminants from the local geology. Private well owners are responsible for their own testing and treatment.
We can install a complete treatment train (sediment pre-filter, iron/sulfur filter, UV disinfection, and softener) to address it all in one system, and we recommend annual testing.
It protects your plumbing, too.
Hard water is the silent enemy of water heaters: scale builds on heating elements and inside the tank, cutting lifespan by years. Installing a softener upstream of your heater extends its service life significantly.
For tankless units (popular in Tradition and St. Lucie West), softened water protects the heat exchanger, and some manufacturers deny warranty claims when scale damage is found.

Water-quality questions.
Straight answers about softeners and filtration. If yours isn't here, ask us.
(772) 218-2669Does Port St. Lucie have hard water?
Yes. PSL water is classified as hard to very hard due to high calcium and magnesium from the Floridan Aquifer, which causes scale on fixtures, inside heaters, and in pipes. A water softener is the most effective solution and one of the most common systems we install locally.
What's the difference between a softener and a filter?
A softener specifically removes calcium and magnesium by ion exchange; it doesn't filter chlorine or sediment. A filter addresses taste, odor, sediment, or specific contaminants. Many homes benefit from both: a softener for hardness plus a carbon filter for chlorine taste and odor. We assess your water and recommend what's actually needed.
How long does installation take?
Most whole-house softener or filtration installs take 2 to 4 hours. A multi-stage setup (softener + carbon + UV) may take a full day. Water is typically shut off only briefly during the connection.
Will a system hurt my water pressure?
A properly sized, maintained system shouldn't noticeably reduce pressure. Undersized systems or clogged filters can, which is why sizing matters. We size to your home's demand and install bypass valves so flow is never interrupted during filter maintenance.
