The line that never gets a break.
Your main water line, also called the service line, runs underground from the water meter to your house. It carries full supply pressure around the clock, so when a section cracks or a joint lets go, water escapes nonstop: into the yard, under the driveway, or beneath the slab.
We find the leak before we dig, so the hole stays small. Then we expose the line, cut out the damaged section and join in new pipe and fittings, set it on firm support, and turn the water back on to check for leaks before the hole is filled.
Signs of a main line leak.
- A soggy or sunken patch in the yard that never dries out
- Water seeping up through the lawn, a driveway crack or the sidewalk
- Low water pressure at every fixture at once
- An unexplained jump in your water bill
- The meter keeps moving with every fixture turned off
- The sound of running water when everything is off
What a main line repair covers.
From a single cracked section to a line that has failed more than once.
- Cracked or leaking sections
The damaged length is cut out and new pipe is joined in with proper fittings, then the line is supported so the new joints aren't carrying the weight of the soil.
- Broken or separated joints
Fittings that have cracked or pulled apart are replaced and the line is re-supported, so the repair holds up under full supply pressure.
- Full line replacement
When an old line has failed in more than one place, replacing the run from the meter to the house is often the better value. We'll show you what we found and explain both options.
Why it can't wait.
- Stop paying for lost water. A main line leak runs around the clock, and the meter counts every gallon.
- Protect the slab and driveway. Water escaping underground washes out the soil that holds up concrete.
- Get your pressure back. A leaking main line starves every fixture in the house.
- Keep the repair small. Caught early, a leak usually means one small excavation and a short section of new pipe.

Main line questions, answered.
Straight answers about the line from the meter to your house. If yours isn't here, ask us.
(772) 218-2669Who's responsible for the line from the meter to the house?
Usually the property owner. The water utility generally owns the meter and the pipe on the street side of it, and the line from the meter to the house belongs to the property. If the leak turns out to be on the utility's side, we'll tell you so you can call them.
What should I do if water is coming up in my yard?
If water is flowing, close your home's main shut-off valve to stop the waste, then call or text (772) 218-2669. Keep people and pets off any soft or sunken ground until it's been checked.
Will you have to dig up my whole yard?
No. We locate the leak first with acoustic and pressure testing, then dig only where the line is damaged. Landscaping, pavers or concrete are disturbed only at the repair.
Should I repair the line or replace it?
One leak on a line that's otherwise sound is usually a spot repair. If the pipe is old or has already failed in more than one place, replacing the run from the meter to the house is often the better value. We'll show you what we found and explain both options before any work starts.
